Ms. Cheyanne

Hi, my name is Cheyanne Giovanis and I am a full time teacher in the Baby Chick room! I have been working at Step-by-Step since February of 2014. I am first aid and CPR certified, have completed my Basic Health and Safety training, certified in Medication Administration and I have my 90 hour certificate as well as my 45 hour Infant/Toddler certificate. I also have my associates degree from Carroll Community College. I am so excited to be spending quality time with your child and watching them grow every day! 

Ms. Natalie

Hi! My name is Natalie and I am one of the teachers in the Treehouse Buddies classroom! I have been a THB teacher since my first day at SBS, back in November 2014! I have 2 children, Piper and Finn, both of whom attend SBS too! Originally from Frederick County, MD where I was born and raised, my husband, kids and I currently reside in PA.

I have worked with children for over 15 years and am currently working towards my degree in Early Childhood Education/Special Education; I am very excited to graduate in December! Outside of teaching and schoolwork, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, cooking and baking! 

I’m looking forward to getting to know each child individually and help them grow! Thank you for allowing me to be apart of their lives!

Ms. Megan 

I joined the Step by Step team in October of 2011 after working at a small center for seven years.  In addition to my 90-hour certification and 45-hour infant-toddler certification, I also have my bachelor’s degree from Stevenson University. I have over 15 years of experience of working in childcare, and I enjoy creating learning activities that support a child’s development in all areas.  I love being outdoors, and hiking is one of my favorite activities.  I recently moved to Stewartstown, PA where I live with my husband, daughter Cecilia, and soon to be baby boy (arriving August 2019).  I can’t wait to get to know you and your child!

Ms. Taryn

I started working at Step by Step in August 2015 after moving to the area from New Jersey where I worked at a different childcare center for three years.  I have my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Special Education from Towson University as well as my 90-hour certification and my 45- hour infants and toddlers certification.  In my free time I enjoy reading, going to the beach, and spending time with my friends and family! I enjoy working with children in order to support their growth and development in all areas.  I look forward to getting to know you and your child!

Ms. Maddie

My name is Maddie McGee and I am a teacher in the Baby Chick room. I have worked at Step by Step since I was in high school, helping out in the 3 and 4-year old classrooms after school and on school breaks. I also was a student here at Step by Step so it’s pretty surreal to be working alongside some of my old teachers!  I graduated from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) in May 2019. I majored in Print Journalism and Political Science and hope to attend graduate school to eventually work in the publishing and media field. For now, I love being a part of the Step by Step family, and I can’t wait to watch your child learn and grow in our classroom!

Ms. Shanna

Hello, my name is Shanna Beatty and I am 31 years old. I have been working with children for over 16 years, ranging in age from infant- 13 years. I have my 90 hour certification in infant, toddler, pre-school, and school-age. I am certified in CPR and emergency preparedness, as well as medication administration. In my spare time I love spending every moment with my 1 year old baby boy, and enjoy cooking and baking at home. I have always had a passion for working with children, and love watching their minds expand as they explore the world around them. I am so happy to be a part of the Step-By-Step family, and can't wait to get to know all of you!

Ms. Diane

Hello, my name is Diane Sappington. I have been working with young children for over 35 years and have enjoyed it so much! I have my 90 hour certification in infant/toddler, and CPR/ First Aid training certification. I am married with three beautiful children as well as a grandmother loving every minute I get to spend with my family. I love being part of our Step By Step family, and hope to meet you soon!

Ms. Kiara

Hi my name is Kiara Peery known as Ms. Kiki and I am a teacher in the Cozy Caterpillar room. I have worked at Step By Step for 3 years working with different age groups. I graduated with my diploma from Hereford High School in June 2017. During my spare time, I love spending time with my family, cooking and reading. I’m so glad to be apart of the Step By Step family and I can’t wait to watch your kids grow.

Ms. Picciotto

My name is Olivia Picciotto and I am 21 years old. I attended CCBC and TOwson University. In my free time you can find me traveling or spending time outside when its going on hikes or running. I’ve always loved working with chldren and when the opportunity to become a full time teacher in the Back Yard Pal room came along, I was thrilled to fill the psotition! I grew up babysitting and have spent three summers and two winters working at Step by Step prior to becoming full time. I went to Step by Step as a child - so you could say my roots are here! I find this hjob to be extrenely rewarding and I am honored to impact the lives of these children.
